ANNUAL WEEKEND RETREAT
DATE : Saturday, September 4 and Sunday, September 5, 2004
TIME : 9 a.m. Saturday to 3:30 p.m. Sunday (Retreat registration and room check-in will be Saturday
morning from 9:00 to 10:00 with Carol McKernon in the Windsor Hall auditorium)
PLACE : The New Windsor Conference Center – a beautiful hilltop location in New Windsor, MD
We are honored to have Swami Gokulananda, Head of the Ramakrishna Mission in New Delhi, and a Senior Monk of the Ramakrishna Order, here to conduct our annual two-day retreat this year. The topic of the retreat will be Holy Mother, from the Perspective of Tradition and Modernity.
The New Windsor Conference Center needs to know no later than July 30th how many participants will be attending our Retreat. They generally have other groups meeting at the same time, and need to schedule their space. We urge you to register early!
PLEASE NOTE: In order to maintain a cohesive retreat group and to ensure smooth operations and unity, it is requested that you attend both days of the retreat and stay at the facility in New Windsor. The very reasonable registration fee includes the facility costs, all meals, daily coffee/tea service, and the Retreat.
REGISTRATION FEE: $115 per person (double occupancy)*
$129 per person (single occupancy)*
$ 80 per person days only (no lodging) for two days (including lunch both days)
$ 55 per person day only (no lodging) for one day (includes lunch)
*If you wish to stay both Friday and Saturday nights, the total fee will be $175 per person for double occupancy OR $203 per person for single occupancy (includes 3 meals Saturday & 2 meals Sunday, plus Retreat fee)
Registration will be on a first-come basis. PLEASE NOTE: The retreat facility is very strict about their deadlines. The deadline for registration is Friday, July 30th – NO EXCEPTIONS. Please make your check payable to “Vedanta Center of Greater Washington, DC” and send it, along with the completed and signed registration form, to Carol McKernon, at the address shown on the form. DO NOT send forms to the Vedanta Center.

I understand that I am completely responsible for my own well-being and that of my family, and hold the Vedanta Center of Greater Washington, DC, Inc. completely harmless for liability from any and all situations which may arise.

Directions:
From the Washington Metropolitan Area: Take Route 495 to Route 270-North (toward Frederick). Exit at Father Hurley Blvd. (Route 27 toward Damascus) – bear right toward Damascus. Follow Route 27 through Damascus, past Mt. Airy, cross Route 26, continue on Route 27. Turn left on Route 407 (a small country road). Turn right on Route 31, which goes into New Windsor. Turn right on Main Street. Go to 500 Main Street (on your left) to the New Windsor Conference Center.
From the Baltimore Area: Take Route 695 to Route 70-North toward Frederick. Exit at Route 27-North (Mt. Airy). Go north toward Westminster. Pass Mt. Airy, cross Route 26, continue on Route 27-North and turn left on Route 407 (a small country road). Continue as described above.
